Warwick Christian College is set in the beautiful old Slade Campus on the North side of Warwick and at Kingswood Campus on the South East edge of Warwick. Established in 2007, the college aims to provide an affordable, Christian education to the families of the Southern Downs. Warwick Christian College is operated by Christian Community Ministries(CCM).
In 2017 our main campus, Slade, caters for students in Prep to Year 11 adding year 12 in 2018. Kingswood campus is an accredited Special Assistance School with students studying for Vocational Education pathways in Years 10 to 12. Our Kingswood Campus also caters for students in Years 6 to 12 who have disengaged from mainstream schooling and require a supportive and flexible learning environment.
In its first year of operation, the college was staffed by Owen Bonney, School Manager, and Amanda Hughes, Classroom Teacher. They were joined by Mrs Margi Wood as a Learning Support Teacher during the year. The college was supported by an active board throughout 2007.
In 2008, Mrs Moira Coates joined the staff as Teacher In Charge. The school year commenced with 18 students and by the start of 2010 had grown to 36. In early March 2012, Warwick Christian College purchased the historic Slade School campus on Horsman Rd and by Term 3 of that year Terrence McCorkell Joined the School as Principal.
At the start of 2013, Warwick Christian College re-located to the Slade School Campus. In 2014 Terrence McCorkell was promoted to Chief Operations Officer of CCM and we welcomed Jenny Lang as Principal.
2016 has seen the appointment of Mr Michael Freudigmann as Principal with current enrollments at the college approximately 140, and staff numbering 20+. Over the next few years work will continue to be done to restore the Slade School Campus. By 2018, Warwick Christian College will operate as a full P-12 College.
